Their happiness and love truly permeated the entire photoshoot we shared with them. Kelli and I (Kaelah) go way back when we used to work together in the mall my freshmen year of college. We'd spend our days dancing and singing along to Teagan and Sara, Scissor Sisters, and the like. Her personality hasn't changed one bit and if anything, having a husband and little dude of her own just made her that much sweeter. Matthew was a super attentive dad and little Luka with his two teeth just kill me. He was one of the happiest and least-fussy children we've ever had the privilege to photograph. We love happy babies!

This just happened to be one of those shoots with one of those families where we could barely find a single image that didn't turn out. We delivered over 70% of what we shot and that's just a feat in itself. The weather and the surroundings were perfect, but the subjects made the images come to life.

  1. Can I ask you what camera & film roll did you use for your photographs? Doing some research on what film camera to buy! Thank you!

    1. We shoot with older-style Nikon film bodies for the most part, but we have 4 film cameras in constant rotation. No session is shot with only one camera. Ken Rockwell's website is a really great tool for learning the ins and out of various camera bodies. You should check it out :)
