The second set of portraits from Florida. I couldn't dream of leaving that last image out. Toby's always making a stinker face. He's such an animated kid! Sometimes it's hard to believe he won't be 4 forever.

We feel super fortunate to have such a cute face to photograph everywhere we go. We snapped a couple of rolls of Toby on our last day in Florida back in July and we finally had the film processed. It was such a happy surprise to see so many photos of our little man. He looks awfully grumpy in some of them, doesn't he? Normally he's hamming it up for the camera, but this particular day was an exhausting one! Lots of sunshine and lots of heat... but that precious face!

Madison and Paul are such a lovely pair! We photographed them one sunny Saturday afternoon at Radnor Lake State Park and Sevier Park in Nashville. Paul told us all about life as an EMT (fascinating!) and Madison shared some delicious homemade dog treats for our pups (She sells them locally during the Franklin Art Scene, and online! Look her up at Axle Bites!) These two were so sweet and so easy to photograph. We know they'll have a lovely Spring wedding come 2014!

This just happened to be one of those shoots with one of those families where we could barely find a single image that didn't turn out. We delivered over 70% of what we shot and that's just a feat in itself. The weather and the surroundings were perfect, but the subjects made the images come to life.

The best thing was receiving a Christmas card in the mail a few weeks later with one of the images we shot! No words to describe how wonderful that feels!
