Do you shoot strictly film? Why?

We both love the look and depth of film photos. The slight imperfections, the not-so-instant gratification. We think the waiting process and the risk generate even more special momentos. We learn to accept and adore the slight quirks of film. We also put much more thought into each frame as opposed to firing off shots on a DSLR which can quickly be deleted. It's more of an art this way.

Do you only do couples and families?

No. We love to shoot couples, engagements, families, weddings, newborns, senior portraits, you name it. If you're a person, we want to take your picture!

What should I wear for my shoot?

Solid colors are often most advised, but simple patterns can also make for some great images. You should wear what you feel most comfortable in, and what will be appropriate for the location of the shoot. We're more than happy to chat prior to the shoot to help with the perfect wardrobe choices. But please don't get too matchy-matchy!

How much do your shoots cost? Do you offer package pricing?

We offer a wide variety of "packages" to fit every budget, and we're happy to work with you to create the perfect one. We custom tailor each shoot to reflect the needs of the client. Please send us an email if you'd like a quote!

How long will the shoot take?

Each shoot is custom-tailored to fit the needs and desires of the client. They can range from 30 minutes to a few hours depending on what you're after. We're more than willing to work with your schedule.

How long will it take to get my photos back?

We try to be as quick as possible in our turnaround. We ship off our film the next business day following the shoot and generally have it processed and back to our home in 3 to 4 weeks. 

How do you deliver the photos? Can we buy prints?

Each client will receive a USB flash drive with their high resolution images loaded. We are happy to order a set of prints for you at an additional (but small) cost. 

Can I print them myself? Will I own the printing rights to the pictures?

Yes. The cost of the session includes everything from film, to processing, and even the printing rights to the images once they're delivered. You can print them wherever you would like, as many times as you desire. We will include a release on the USB stating this. him + honey still maintains the copyright to the images however.

Where will the shoot take place?

We are currently based out of East Nashville, Tennessee, and we have various locations around the mid-state to use for shoots. From backyards to parks and farms, you'd be surprised where you can find wonderful scenery. Shoot prices include travel up to 20 miles one-way from the 37206 zip code. Any farther will require a small fee for gas and travel.

I'm not in Tennessee. Are you available for travel?

Yes. Absolutely. We are able and willing to travel anywhere in the world. Please contact us with your inquiry.
